Sudoku Daily FAQ
Is Sudoku Daily free to play?
Yes. It runs in your browser with no download, no signup and no ads inside the game. Open the page and start filling squares.
How many puzzles are there?
Unlimited. A new grid is generated every time you load the page or press New puzzle, so you never run out and never meet the same grid twice.
Does every puzzle have exactly one solution?
Yes. A digit is only removed while the grid still has a single solution, which is checked as the puzzle is built. That matters because it means you never have to guess between two valid answers.
What do the difficulty levels change?
The number of given digits: easy keeps 44, medium 34 and hard 28. Fewer givens leave more candidates per square, which is what actually makes a grid harder to read.
What are pencil marks for?
Press N or tap Notes to jot candidate digits inside an empty square. When you place a correct digit the matching marks are cleared from the row, column and box for you.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes. Tap a square and use the number pad underneath the board. The grid stays left to right even in Arabic, because sudoku columns are positional.
